We lost 67-64. I missed a layup to tie the game with a few seconds left. It sucked. It's over... But I did get to see James Aanden play, so it was all good in the end.

Win

68-43. Jerry Larson was three for three on threes at the start of the game. After that we didn't let him shoot and we pulled away. We play again at 11:45 vs Gregg Preston.

To the Consolation Bracket

We were running so fast that we were blurry, except me, #24 on the right, I was in slow motion. My friend Lee Vang has the ball here. And if you look closely that's Ryan Nordlund playing D in the blue.

Galactic Pizza

Recently I ate at this restaurant called Galactic Pizza. I wanted to go to this establishment since I saw a news story about the superheroes they have working there. Last year one of their delivery guys, Luke Pie Rocker (the S-H in orange) saw a woman get her pursed stolen while he was out on a delivery. Being a superhero he chased the thief and the recovered the purse using his superhero powers. I saw this story on a channel from the Middle East when I was in Africa. Here's a link to the story: The video there is worth watching.http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2006/06/09/earlyshow/main1697042.shtml

"I think the threat of a galactic superhero chasing someone down is usually going to be enough to keep most people at bay. This guy, he didn't know what he was dealing with." -Luke Pie-Rocker

It's 15 Minutes of Something, Probably Not Fame

And in the story that won't die...
Here's a link to a real blogger with a real life who posted our friend Buxton_Legal's Buy Gold video. It seems he agrees with me that Buxton_Legal's was the original.

Thing 2 and Thing 1

If I was a cartoon, I'd for sure be friends with these guys.

Irony

The SNL clip was taken down on YouTube by order of NBC Universal. Apparently you can't put stuff on the internet that belongs to other people and call it your own.

Rabid Fans Put to Sleep

Two days ago Wisconsin fans were dreaming about a basketball National Championship. Not so today. Nothing else to advertise on their Badgers sports website than the women's hockey "championship." Nevermind that there are approximately 10 women's hockey teams in existence. You can almost hear the collective sound of depression settling in.

Annoyances

SNL Steals Buxton_Legal's Idea

Last Saturday night, Saturday Night Live aired one of their fake commericals that was CLEARLY stolen from our friend Buxton_Legal's Buy Gold video that was featured right here at the Family Normal last week. I know they put a lot of stuff on that show and it is less-than-good sometimes but stealing Buxton_Legal's idea is interesting. The orange juice is a dead give-away. They probably saw this clip on Monday when they were brainstorming for the show and decided to rip off Buxton_Legal's clip.

Watch both videos and see the similarities and post your comments on the rip-off video on YouTube to show solidarity.

I took a picture of this scraggly-looking fellow with unbalanced hair at a nearby coffee shop. He looks exactly like me. I believe him to be my doppelganger.

6385

According to the counter no one has visited the Normals since we had a Japanese visitor yesterday morning at 3:33 AM. Apparently the server that keeps count is broken. This comes after the Normal Family hit an all-time record for hits on Monday and Tuesday. So I don't know if anyone is out there anymore.

Life is like an iPod...

A Forrest Gump II is in the works. It goes like this: “Gump & Co” takes place several years after “Forrest Gump” and finds Forrest’s shrimping business failed and Jenny dead, leaving Forrest a single unemployed father. As you’d expect, Gump still stumbles through more important historical events. In this case it’s a cavalcade of history from the 80s and 90s. He even meets Tom Hanks.

Maybe he's the real person who invented the internet.
