Other Minor Celeb Sightings

I saw Jerry Springer when I was in college at the U of M getting into a limo behind the Coffman Student Union. I yelled to him "Jerry." He looked up a bit startled as if I was about to do a Jack Ruby on him. He then waved and got in the car. I saw the little-known Mitch from Survivor Outback walking down the street in NYC. He is 7 feet tall so he really stood out. It was a couple of years after his 15 minutes had ended so no one was recognizing him, but me being the Survivor fan knew who he was. I caught eye contact with him but never said anything to him. I'm sure he was thrilled to be still "recognized." He also won the Showcase Showdown on the Price is Right one time. He was in an alliance with Jerri.

Afghan Life

My friend Jonathan who lives in Kabul, Afghanistan made the New York Times. There is a story about his company in tomorrow's Sunday edition (I linked the story below). You can get to his travel company's website by clicking "Adventure" on my links on the right side of this site.

Sasquatch

Last night as we were driving by Eagle Bend near Alexandria I swear I saw a figure cross the road in the distance. As we got closer this very tall thing on two legs ran next to the car. I swerved so not to hit it but it ran off into the brush but not before looking at me in the eye. It was a cold, soul piercing look into my eyes. He was angry. There were not any houses for miles. I'm pretty sure it was the Yetti.

Post Op
Here's the actual parathyroid they removed from my neck. Normally a bad one is the size of an apple seed, mine was the size of a walnut. I don't know why they blacked out the rest of the photo.

Parathyroid

<--Here's a picture of the little bugger.
Hyperparathyroidism is a condition causing high blood-calcium levels that afflicts about 100,000 Americans each year. It is caused by the overproduction of parathyroid hormone (PTH) by one or more of the four parathyroid glands located in the neck. This chronic condition may result in kidney stones, osteoporosis, abdominal problems, fatigue, and depression, among other illnesses. It can successfully be treated by removing the abnormal parathyroid gland(s).

Temporarily Engaged
I've been a bit occupied lately.

<--They were here but I didn't see them. I didn't see the twins either.
